Alyssa Burley: You’re listening to Rancho Mesa’s StudioOne™ podcast, where each week we break down complex insurance and safety topics to help your business thrive.

I’m your host, Alyssa Burley, and I’m joined by Brenda Khalil, Client Technology Specialist with Rancho Mesa. Today, we’re going to discuss a new feature in the SafetyOne™ platform, that gives administrators the ability to send email reminders to employees who need to complete online safety trainings.

Brenda, welcome to the show.

Brenda Khalil: Thanks for having me Alyssa.

AB: Of course. So Rancho Mesa places an emphasis on making sure our clients have the tools they need to build a strong safety program and reduce their risks. We listen closely to their feedback and use that input to add features that really make a difference for them and their employees.

So Brenda, can you explain what’s in the latest update to SafetyOne?

BK: Absolutely. In the latest platform update, SafetyOne Administrators--often safety managers and human resources personnel--can ensure their team stays on top of online trainings with our new email reminder feature.

Administrators can set email reminders to be sent at three different intervals and/or daily until the training is completed.

Our clients expressed a need for this type of functionality, and we listened. This new feature is a great addition to the platform, and we feel it will become a key feature for ensuring employees stay on top of training within their organization.

AB: Yeah, that’s great to hear. So how can SafetyOne Administrators access this function in the platform?

BK: Administrators can schedule the training reminders through the SafetyOne website. In the Learning Management System screen, on the Assign tab, there is a list of online safety trainings that are available through the platform. Just find the training in the list and click on the edit icon in the Reminders column to set the email reminders.

AB: Can the administrator customize when the email reminders are sent out?

BK: Yes, there are three email reminders that can be set to be sent at specific intervals. For example, I could set the first email reminder to be sent out 3 days after the training is assigned if the employee hasn’t completed it. Then, I could set another email to be sent out after 5 days and another after 15 days. And then I even have the option to tell the system to send out an email reminder every day after that, if they still haven’t completed the training.

AB: Now, does the administrator have to setup three email reminders?

BK: Actually no. So they could decide to send just one email reminder or send one every single day between the day it was assigned until it’s completed. It’s really up to them to decide on the combination of email reminders they want to send. And, each training can have different intervals if you’d like.

AB: Now, where can administrators find more information about setting up the email reminders?

BK: Administrators can find step-by-step instructions, by visiting Rancho Mesa’s SafetyOne FAQ page, and we will also put a link to that page in the episode notes.

AB: So Brenda, if clients have any questions about scheduling training reminder, what’s the best way to get in contact with you?

BK: Clients can contact me at bkhalil@ranchomesa.com or call me directly at (619) 486-6562.

AB: Brenda, thank you for joining me in StudioOne™.

BK: Thanks for having me!
