Alex will handle certificates of insurance as well as maintain administrative assistant duties at the front desk. Her career experience in administrative, billing, and receptionist roles makes her a valuable asset to the team.  

Alex was born and raised in San Diego. She spends her weekends cheering on her three children at their soccer tournaments and cooking with her family. Alex also enjoys traveling, dancing, and watching movies.

Rancho Mesa is proud to announce that Assisant Client Manager Whitney Chiriboga has earned the Management Liability Insurance Specialist (MLIS) designation.

The MLIS program is designed to equip insurance professionals with a comprehensive understanding of management liability exposures and insurance coverage. The program provides Whitney with fundamental knowledge in areas such as professional liability insurance, directors and officers (D&O) liability, employment practices liability (EPL), and fiduciary liability exposures and insurance.

This accomplishment reflects Whitney's dedication to enhancing her expertise and better serving her clients, particularly in the human services and nonprofit sector.

Brenda brings with her over 15 years of experience in various office administrative roles, more recently as an accounting/bookkeeping associate. She has also worked as the Education & Customer Relations Coordinator at an animal sanctuary.

As a San Diego native and the youngest of seven children, Brenda has a love for spending time with family and friends. She has a passion for the outdoors, enjoying activates such as hiking, camping, and exploring new towns. Additionally, Brenda has an enthusiasm for trying new restaurants and sharing her own culinary creations with others.

Becky Diaz has joined Rancho Mesa’s growing team as a Client Coordinator. Becky brings with her seven years of general office administrative experience, with a specialty in accounts payable. Most recently she was a client support specialist at a benefits and enrollment company in San Diego.

Currently pursuing Associate Degrees in Sociology and Communication Studies at San Diego Mesa College, Becky demonstrates a commitment to learning and personal development.

Becky is a San Diego native. Outside of the office, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her family and dog, Simba.

Becky's enthusiasm, paired with her diverse skill set, make her a valuable asset to the Rancho Mesa team.

Employee Spotlight: Matt Gorham Newest Account Executive for the Construction Group

We are thrilled to announce the latest addition to the Rancho Mesa family, Matt Gorham, who has joined us as an Account Executive, specializing in the construction industry with a focus on HVAC and plumbing contractors.

Prior to joining Rancho Mesa, Matt worked as a mortgage consultant, where he honed his skills in ensuring that every client received the best guidance and support possible. With this strong background in customer service and his passion for connecting with people, Matt is the ideal fit for our team.

A Southern California native, Matt originates from the scenic Ventura County. Today, he resides in Santee, CA, along with his son, Mason. Matt is an avid soccer player and loves to hit the beach in his free time. When winter rolls around, you can find him snowboarding down the slopes.

As we welcome him to the Rancho Mesa family, we look forward to his contributions and are excited to see him help our clients navigate the complex world of insurance.

Employee Spotlight: Alyssa Burley Reappointed Into NAWIC Board of Directors

On the evening of September 21, 2023, the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) San Diego Chapter hosted their Installation Dinner at the Bali Hai Restaurant in San Diego, CA. It was a momentous occasion as Alyssa Burley, Rancho Mesa's Media Communications & Client Services Manager, assumed her role on the NAWIC San Diego Board of Directors for the 2023-2024 term.

Since becoming a part of NAWIC in 2017, Alyssa has demonstrated remarkable leadership, consistently exceeding expectations in all her roles within NAWIC and Rancho Mesa.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the newly appointed NAWIC officers and board members. Rancho Mesa takes great pride in supporting supporting women in construction.
