Alyssa Burley: Hi! This is Alyssa Burley with Rancho Mesa’s Media Communications and Client Services Department. Thank you for listening to today’s top Rancho Mesa news brought to you by our safety and risk management network, StudioOne™.

Lauren Stumpf: Welcome back, everyone. This is Lauren Stumpf, Media Communications and Client Services Specialist and for today’s episode I am joined by Megan Lockhart, Media Communications and Client Services Coordinator. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be highlighting a new section of the SafetyOne™ desktop and mobile application to give our listeners an understanding of all the SafetyOne™ app has to offer. So, Megan thank you for joining me in StudioOne™ today.

Megan Lockhart: Of course, good to be here!

LS: Back in Episode 276, we officially announced the launch of Rancho Mesa’s SafetyOne™ desktop and mobile app. The SafetyOne™ app is a game changing resource for our clients, as it gives them the capability to streamline the data collection process of the jobsite to the office. The mobile and desktop app gives our clients the ability to perform observations, access policies, complete mobile forms, administer toolbox talks, and send out company news alerts directly to a supervisor’s mobile device. Also, office personnel will love the SafetyOne™ administrator website where they can see analytics for all their crews, projects, programs or facilities. So, as I mentioned over the next few episodes we will be highlighting the different features within the SafetyOne™ app. For today’s episode we will be discussing the Toolbox Talks feature. Megan can you begin by explained to our listeners what Toolbox Talks are used for?

ML: Of course! So, Toolbox Talks are used to communicate specific safety topics with your team on the jobsite and discuss how these topics impact your jobsite, facility, or program. The platform provides a way for organizations to choose from a library of toolbox talks, modify existing ones, create your own, attach digital signatures and photos of the meeting when performing a toolbox talk via the mobile app, and add notes and configure which talks are available for each project, crew, facility, or program. Each Toolbox Talk will have a title, summary, explanation of why the Toolbox Talk is important, things to consider and discussion items.

LS: That’s so awesome. So, are the Toolbox Talks accessible on the mobile app as well?

ML: Yes! After the Toolbox Talks are assigned to projects, your supervisors or foreman out in the field can pull them up on their mobile device through the app, and present them to their employees. Once they have discussed one of the Toolbox Talks with their employees, they can enter their employees’ names, have them sign, and take pictures. Once this is complete, the data collected will sync up to the desktop version and can be viewed by those in the office. Organizations can send a copy of the completed Toolbox Talks directly from their mobile device as well. They can also send it as an email and the email will contain a link to the completed Toolbox Talk. This link will also contain the most current information from the Toolbox Talk. So, if additional names are added later, the link will always have the most updated information.

LS: This is great and it seems like it will eliminate extra steps as far as documenting weekly safety meetings. There are so many other features within the app as well, and we are excited to share more in the upcoming weeks!

ML: Absolutely and I’d like to mention also that we are hosting webinars for administrators and mobile users to ensure everyone is comfortable using the SafetyOne™ app. Mobile users will also be able to view our library of short video tutorials on each feature.

LS: Make sure you’re checking the Rancho Mesa newsletter to sign up for the upcoming webinars. In the episode notes, we will include links to the mobile app tutorial videos that are on our website and links to sign up for the desktop tutorial videos. Megan, thank you so much for joining me in StudioOne™.
