Client Spotlight: Boys & Girls Club of East County Hosts Youth of the Year Awards Ceremony

On Friday, April 5, 2019 the Boys & Girls Club of East County hosted their annual Youth of the Year Awards ceremony at their Clubhouse location in Santee, CA.
Plaques were awarded to children for excellence in categories ranging from leadership & character, health & life skills, arts, education & career, and sports & recreation. The ceremony is a great way to recognize distinguished youth in the community.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of East County have been developing, implementing, and providing activities and programs to disadvantaged youth since 1961. Operating in the communities of El Cajon, Lakeside, La Mesa and Santee, the Clubs offer three full –service clubhouses with gymnasiums for children 5-10, and two Teen Centers in La Mesa and El Cajon designated for teens ages 11-18. Providing children with age appropriate activities, trained professional staff, state of the art computer labs; cool, clean, well maintained buildings and a safe, healthy atmosphere to learn and grow has been the ultimate goal of the Boys & Girls Clubs of East County. On Wednesday, April 25, 2019 Rancho Mesa Insurance Services Inc. attended Greater San Diego Insurance Day (I-Day) at the Town and Country Resort and Convention Center in San Diego, CA.
The annual San Diego I-Day, organized by the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of San Diego Association (IIAB), is the largest one-day trade fair and seminar in the State of California. Numerous insurance agents/companies along with assorted carriers, vendors, sponsors and more gather at I-Day to enjoy the luncheon, exhibit hall, and awards ceremony.
Daniel Frazee, the Executive Vice President at Rancho Mesa, was honored to accept the Broker of the Year award presented by the of IIAB committee chair. Daniel has been with Rancho Mesa since February of 2000 as an Account Executive in the Property & Casualty department. He became a stockholder in the Agency and was named Vice President in 2004. In 2009, he was elected to the Board of Directors. Frazee holds an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and a Construction Risk Insurance Specialists (CRIS) designation. He has served on the IIAB of San Diego board for six years; one of those as President, four as committee chair, and two years as the golf committee chair. Rancho Mesa is proud to have Daniel Frazee apart of our team!

The new video comes on the heels of the company’s “Momentum: The Rancho Mesa Insurance Landscape Division Story” that debuted in January at the Leaders Forum 2019 in Aruba.

This dynamic two-hour course covered the evolution of the active shooter threat, industry trend evaluations, how to spot a potential threat, psychology of a shooter, the vigilance mindset, run-hide-fight, decision making, supervisor responsibilities and so much more.

The Safety Van has job specific trainings loaded onto the TV mounted to the back of the van, making it convenient for Eddie to open the van, set up chairs, and give safety presentations to the workers at the jobsite.

“I mainly decide to do [the RM 365 Advantage Safety Star Program] because of my passion and for the workers. I know how important it is for the company to also make sure that safety is with them everyday. That’s the reason I did it,” said Eddie Lopez when asked about why he decided to participate in the program.
