Brenda Colby: You’re listening to Rancho Mesa’s StudioOne™ podcast, where each week we break down complex insurance and safety topics to help your business thrive. I’m your host, Brenda Colby, and I’m joined by Chad Winder, Client Technology Coordinator with Rancho Mesa, and today we’re going to introduce our listeners to the new SafetyOne™ AI Data Analytics
Chad, welcome to the show.
Chad Winder: Happy to be here Brenda.
BC: We’re happy you’re here.
So, we have some big news for SafetyOne™ Administrators, AI data analysis capabilities are now available on the Observations and Mobile Form screens and that means safety professionals can analyze data from current reports, assess trends and training gaps, and even create customized training in minutes.
Chad, let’s start with the basics, will you give our listeners an overview of how to access and use SafetyOne™ AI?
CW: Absolutely. To start, AI functions are available on the SafetyOne™ website, to users with Administrator privileges. Administrators can select which Mobile Forms or Observation Reports they want to be included in the data analysis. The AI feature analyzes data based on a token system, and the number of tokens used varies, depending on the extent of the data being analyzed.
BC: Right, and SafetyOne™ AI can analyze any number of mobile forms or observations but the larger the request, the more tokens it will use.
Chad, will you explain how AI tokens work in SafetyOne™ AI?
CW: Sure. So, as I mentioned, AI analytics use tokens to process each request. The number of tokens deducted from your SafetyOne™ account will depend on how complex your request is, and the size and amount of data that is being analyzed. For now, each client will be allotted some tokens to test out the feature. And, if needed, additional tokens can be purchased by contacting your Client Technology Team member.
BC: Yeah and after an analysis has been completed, the remaining token count can be viewed by Administrators on the blue navigation panel in the SafetyOne™ website.
Okay Chad, now that we have the basics out of the way, will you give our listeners some examples of how they can use SafetyOne™ AI in their organizations?
CW: Yes, Administrators can ask SafetyOne™ AI to summarize inspections and observations, identify trends and recurring risks, compare projects, and draft toolbox talks.
We recommend starting with questions or requests such as: “What hazards are increasing this month?", "Summarize this inspection" or “Generate a Toolbox Talk from today's observations."
BC: Those are some great starting points. And one final question Chad, because I’m sure with the rise of AI in professional spaces, many of our listeners are concerned about data security. So, how is company data protected in SafetyOne™ AI?
CW: That’s a great question. SafetyOne™ AI analyzes the information already available within your organization's SafetyOne™ dashboard.
It doesn’t permanently "learn" from any individual conversations in a way that changes future behavior. And, your AI interactions won’t be shared with other organizations using SafetyOne™.
BC: That all sounds great. And for SafetyOne™ Administrators who want to learn more about incorporating AI into their safety programs, we also have a number SafetyOne™ AI FAQs on our website, plus I will be hosting an AI data analytics webinar coming up on October 29th. And we’ll link both of those resources in the episode notes.
So Chad, if listeners have questions about using SafetyOne™ AI to improve their organization’s safety practices, how can they get in contact with you?
CW: Clients can contact me at cwinder@ranchomesa.com or call me directly at 619-499-7389.
BC: Great, and if clients would like to connect with me, you can reach me at bcolby@ranchomesa.com or (619) 486-6562.
Chad, thanks for joining me in StudioOne.
CW: Thanks for having me.
