Alyssa Burley: You’re listening to Rancho Mesa’s StudioOne™ podcast, where each week we break down complex insurance and safety topics to help your business thrive.  I’m your host, Alyssa Burley, and I’m joined by Brenda Colby, Client Technology Specialist with Rancho Mesa, and we’re going to discuss what’s coming up in 2026 for Rancho Mesa’s client services department.

Brenda, welcome to the show.

Brenda Colby: Happy to be here Alyssa.

AB: So, 2025 was a busy year for our client services department. We had plenty of updates and changes were made to our SafetyOne platform, we hosted a variety of in-person workshops and online webinars for our clients, but there’s still lots to look forward to in 2026.

So let’s start with the changes coming to SafetyOne in the New Year. Brenda, what can you share with us about the additional resources that will soon to be available through the platform?

BC: Well we’re adding lots of new trainings to our SafetyOne platform. And administrators can soon expect over 25 new and updated safety trainings to become available, many of which are industry specific. Each training includes an instruction video and a quiz, and can be assigned to individual employees in order to improve safety practices on the jobsite.

AB: And, we’ll be sure to announce when those trainings become available on the platform. We also have lots of updated workshop and webinar content on the way. Will you share what our team has scheduled for the upcoming months?

BC: Absolutely. Less than a month from now, on January 30th, Rancho Mesa and Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies will host a Cumulative Trauma Claims workshop. This is a new topic we are offering in 2026, and one that has become increasingly more relevant in recent years.

In February, we’re offering a PAGA Claims workshop, plus a new webinar that will breakdown how to use our RM365 HR Advantage Portal Learning Management System for soft skills like conflict resolution and professional etiquette.

And in May, we will offer a Fraud Risks and Prevention in Banking workshop.

AB: Alright and, we’ll still offer a lot of our most popular workshops and webinars throughout the year like Fleet Safety and Heat Illness Prevention, so be sure to take a look at our workshops and webinars calendar for 2026. And it can be found on our website under “Workshops and Webinars.”

Brenda, is there anything else you want to share with our audience as we start the new year?

BC: Well, along with what we have already mentioned, I’d like to encourage our listeners to subscribe to our weekly newsletter and safety emails to get the most up to date information on industry news and industry-specific safety meeting content. And join us on LinkedIn to discover the exciting things happening within our organization and alongside our carrier partners.

AB: Brenda, if listeners have questions about updates coming to our SafetyOne platform or our other resources, what’s the best way to get in touch with you?

BC: As always, clients can contact me at bcolby@ranchomesa.com or call me directly at (619) 486-6562.

AB: Brenda, thank you for joining me in StudioOne.

BC: Thanks for having me.

AB: Thanks for tuning in to our latest episode produced by StudioOne. If you enjoyed what you heard, please share this episode and subscribe. For more insights like this, visit us at ranchomesa.com and subscribe to our weekly newsletter.
