Rancho Mesa congratulates Client Technology Coordinator Chad Winder, for earning his certification in construction safety as a part of our RM365 Advantage Safety Star™ program.
Chad joined the team in May 2026. The courses in the Safety Star program allows him to learn about important safety issues that impact clients, teaching topics relating to construction safety in the workplace. Fall protection, ladder safety, heat illness prevention, and fleet safety are a few of the courses that must be passed in order to earn construction safety certification. Knowledge of these topics help employers mitigate job-related injuries.
The Safety Star program is one of the ways Rancho Mesa ensures clients are equipped with the tools and knowledge to navigate workplace risks effectively.

On Friday, June 12, Rancho Mesa hosted its annual Heat Illness Prevention Workshop, presented by Rancho Mesa Risk Consultant Jessee Keirstead and Zee Reid from Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies.

On Friday, June 12, Rancho Mesa hosted its annual Heat Illness Prevention Workshop, presented by Rancho Mesa Risk Consultant Jessee Keirstead and Zee Reid from Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies.
As temperatures start to rise nationwide, this workshop was a reminder to employers of the dangers that come with working in high heat and ways to prevent heat illness.
The presentation focused on the important elements of a heat illness prevention plan as well as common causes of OSHA citations.
The Heat Illness Prevention workshop is part the RM365 Advantage Safety Star Program™. Following the presentation, attendees participated in a quiz to receive credit towards the program.

On Friday, March 13, 2026 Rancho Mesa hosted the Ladder Safety Workshop, presented by Zee Reid, Senior Loss Control Specialist with Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies.
Ladder safety is consistently one of the most cited OSHA violations each year. This workshop focused on common reasons for violations and citations, industry trends and safety requirements.
Reid also shared examples of real-life violations in the field and a number of online resources that can be used on a jobsite.
The ladder safety workshop is part of the RM365 Safety Star™ Program intended to educate supervisors, foremen, safety coordinators and upper management on workplace safety with the goal of reducing the probability of work-related injuries.
Rancho Mesa clients have access to a variety of other ladder safety resources through the SafetyOne™ platform including toolbox talks and mobile forms for inspections and reporting.

Jessee joined the team in November 2025. The Safety Star program equips him with a deeper understanding of the safety challenges clients encounter and the strategies required to effectively mitigate those risks. Fall protection, ladder safety, heat illness prevention, and fleet safety are a few of the courses that must be passed in order to earn construction safety certification. This knowledge strengthens Jessee’s capability to identify potential hazards during job‑site visits and to offer clients practical measures that reduce exposure to risk.

Business Owners and Safety Managers gathered at Rancho Mesa’s Mission Valley office to learn about common Cal/OSHA violations, safety requirements, and industry trends. Additional resources were provided to attendees for use on the jobsite, helping to ensure ladder safety.
Unsafe ladder use is consistently one of the most commonly cited OSHA violations each year, but regular training and education can help prevent injuries to employees and costly fines for business owners.
Rancho Mesa clients can utilize the SafetyOne™ platform to ensure their employees are properly trained using online ladder safety courses and toolbox talks along with documenting ladder inspections and proper ladder usage.

Rancho Mesa has officially released its RM365 Advantage Safety Star™ program in the SafetyOne™ platform. Moving forward, clients participating in the construction safety program will complete the courses entirely through the platform or via an in-person workshop.

The Safety Star videos have been updated with the most current safety information, and the required courses are now accessed entirely via the online training feature.
The Safety Star program teaches important topics relating to construction safety in the workplace to help employers mitigate job-related injuries. Fall protection, ladder safety, heat illness prevention, fleet safety, and accident investigation are some of the courses participants must pass in order to earn their certification in construction safety.
