Alyssa Burley: Hi! This is Alyssa Burley with Rancho Mesa’s Media Communications and Client Services Department. Thank you for listening to today’s top Rancho Mesa news brought to you by our safety and risk management network, StudioOne™. Welcome back, everyone. My guest is Lauren Stumpf, Media Communications and Client Services Specialist with Rancho Mesa. Today, we'll be discussing the new alerts feature that has been added to the SafetyOne™ app and website. Lauren, welcome to the show.

Lauren Stumpf: Hi Alyssa, thanks for having me.

AB: So, we’ve had the ability to send alerts to administrators when certain actions have taken place within the SafetyOne™ platform, but it was only available to those who were actually using the SafetyOne™ Pro Analytics™, which is a more sophisticated tool for organizations that really want to dig deeper into the data analytics. So, will you explain the difference between SafetyOne™ Pro Analytics and how these new alerts work?

LS: Of course. As you mentioned, SafetyOne™ Pro Analytics is a separate platform that allows our clients to analyze their application’s data. Within the pro version, administrators can setup alerts to notify them when certain things happen on the app or the training website. While the functionality hasn’t changed for our SafetyOne™ Pro Analytics, we’ve incorporated the alerts functionality into our SafetyOne™ platform. So, even administrators who don’t utilize the pro version, can now setup alerts for their mobile forms. This means they can setup automated emails letting specific users know when a mobile form is completed.

AB: That is awesome. How might this functionality be used out in the field?

LS: A perfect example might be when a mobile app user completes an incident report.  This would be a situation where the safety manager or office administrator would want to get the details of the incident right away. So, with the new alerts, the administrator can setup an alert email to be sent to both the safety manager and office administrator, or any SafetyOne™ user they want, when a mobile form like the Supervisor’s Report of Employee Accident or Near Miss is completed through the mobile app or from the website. Either way, the selected users will be alerted of the new mobile form as soon as it is submitted. Previously, this functionality was only available through our pro version.

AB: Lauren, this is really exciting. I think it’s going to make workflows a lot easier for our clients. How easy is it to set up these alerts?

LS: It’s actually really easy. The administrator will login to the SafeytOne™ website. On the mobile forms’ settings screen, there is a new column for Alerts. Just click the icon for the mobile form in the list and check the box next to the users who should receive the alert.

AB: So, can each mobile form have different alert email recipients or must they all be the same across the board?

LS: Each mobile form can have unique alert recipients.  So, only users who need to get the notification will get them. In our previous platform, it was difficult to turn off notifications for some managers and supervisors. In the SafetyOne™ platform, it’s completely customizable.

AB: Will our client’s get alerts on all of their mobile forms?

LS: That’s up to the client. They can turn on the alerts for some, all, or none of the mobile forms. It’s completely up to them.

AB: Lauren, I’m really excited about this feature and I know that our clients are too. If listeners are interested in the SafetyOne™ App, who should they contact?

LS: Clients should reach out to their Client Services Coordinator or they can go to ranchomesa.com/safetyone-app and complete the waitlist form.
